Today actions against mining companies, utility companies, and the top financiers of the coal industry Citi and Bank of America took place all across the US and Canada - everything from ATM shut-downs to postering, to Clean-Coal 'tabling' outside of banks, banner drops and more. Dr James Hansen said, promoting the day of action in a press release that went out today: "The science is clear: a moratorium on new coal-fired power plants, and phase-out of existing coal plants, is essential if we want to preserve creation, the life on our planet, for young people and future generations".
