Activists Given Outrageous Bails While Criminal CEO Blankenship Walks Free
17 May 10

It’s pretty outrageous that a criminal thug like Massey CEO Don Blankenship walks around free (going to the Massey Shareholder’s Meeting tomorrow,) while two non-violent anti-MTR activists are held on $100,000 bail each. I think it and say it over and over, but the criminal justice system there is so corrupted by Big Coal is just makes me sick at heart.

If you want to support them, please donate to the legal fund.

4 May 10

Exciting news at the University of North Carolina (UNC).  Coal Free-UNC won their campaign this week.  UNC Chancellor Holden Thorp agreed to phase the campus off of coal by 2020.

Pretty exciting to be chiseling away at Big Coal piece by piece.

Wall Street and Washington Feeling the Heat
1 Sep 10
“First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.”
-Gandhi

Don Blankenship’s empire is crumbling, rapidly.  Mountaintop removal coal mining may well be on it’s way out.  The money’s drying up.  Appalachia is rising in Washington D.C.  And we’re seeing some VERY interesting developments on Wall Street and in Washington.
